Healthy Tinnitus Recipes: Beef with Broccoli Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 pound of broccoli florets
• 1 pound of trimmed and thinly sliced flank steak
• 3 Tbsp. of unfiltered apple cider
• ½ cup of low-sodium soy sauce or soy-free alternative (i.e., coconut aminos, liquid aminos)
• ½ cup of beef broth
• 2 minced cloves of garlic
• 1 Tbsp. of minced fresh ginger
• 3 Tbsp. of coconut oil
• 2 Tbsp. of coconut sugar
• ¼ cup of cornstarch
• Himalayan pink salt (to taste)
• Toasted sesame seeds (optional)
• Chow Mein or rice for serving

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, mix the unfiltered apple cider, soy sauce, coconut sugar, cornstarch, garlic, and the ginger.
2. Pour half of the mixture over the sliced meat in a bowl and toss. Set aside the other half to save for later.
3. In a wok or a heavy skillet, heat the coconut oil over high heat. Stir in the broccoli for a minute, and then remove to a plate.
4. Make sure the skillet or wok is very hot to cook the beef on. Once it’s up to temperature, use a pair of tongs to add the meat in a single layer, spread out along the skillet or wok. Cook for 30 seconds to a minute, and then turn the meat. Cook for another 30 seconds and remove to a plate.
5. Take the other half of the reserved mixture and pour it into the skillet or wok. Add in the beef broth and cook over high heat until it thickens. Add in the beef and broccoli and toss to coat.
6. Serve over Chow Mein or rice, and if desired, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving. Salt to taste.
